Alac, Shakespeare

As the dictionary says, Shakespeare created and gave the English language over 2000 words and phrases. Words like "dauntless", "besmirch", "eyeball" and "Lackluster." Not many people know that the phrase "a wild goose chase" came from romeo and juliet. The way shakespeare wrote his plays and presented them, heavily influenced the language at the time "Shakespeare's poetry, showed the world that English was a poetic and vibrant language, with limitless expressive, and emotional power." -The history of English in 10 minutes Also adding many other standards to the English language that we take for granted today such as puns.
